Shanna Dean, DVM
In 1999 I earned my veterinary degree at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatchewan, Canada. The college was just an hour away from the farm where I was raised. Immediately after obtaining my DVM, I moved to Ventura, California to complete a small animal medicine and surgery internship. Colorado was my next home, where I was employed by a large veterinary emergency and specialty center called VRCC in Denver until 2005. Working as an emergency doctor along side veterinary specialists in cardiology, dermatology, surgery, ophthalmology, neurology, oncology, and internal medicine was a great and exhausting experience.
I became a relief veterinarian in 2005, while looking for full time employment in day practice. The flexibility and constant variation of relief work was enjoyable, so I have continued this work till present. I moved to Hawaii on April Fools Day 2008. I am now based out of Honolulu, and travel throughout the Hawaiian islands and to Colorado. I am a very happy, versatile, flexible, modest, confident, compassionate, approachable person. Using my services you will find that I am hard working, thorough, and meticulous, and manage to keep my sense of humor.
